Wordsmiths

Take turns building words on the board, crossword style. The highest score at the end wins.

Your turn

• Drag tiles from your rack onto the board in one straight line (or tap a tile, then a square), then press Play.
• New words must join the words already on the board. The first word covers the centre star.
• Or Swap some tiles for new ones, or Pass. Either one uses your turn.
• Stuck? Helper can be used 3 times a game: see your best move, see the squares where you could play, or change tiles and keep your turn.

Scoring

• Each tile shows its value. Blank tiles can be any letter but score nothing.
• DL and TL double or triple a letter. DW and TW double or triple the whole word. A bonus square only counts on the turn a tile is placed on it.
• Use all 7 tiles in one turn for a 35-point bonus.
• Game options in the lobby change the board (Wordsmiths, Scrabble or Corner Triples), the letter values, the all-7 bonus (35 or 50) and add a long-word bonus.

The end

When the bag is empty, the first player to use their last tile ends the game and takes the value of the other player's leftover tiles from them. Four scoreless turns in a row also end it, and each player loses the value of their own leftover tiles.
